KING OF PRUSSIA, PA (12/21/23)—With great sadness, International Ministries (IM) shares news of the unexpected passing of Global Servant Rev. Madeline Flores-López early on Monday, December 18, 2023, following a brief illness. Rev. Flores-López, a long-time global servant from Puerto Rico, was in the Dominican Republic where she served for twenty-two years. (View the news release in Spanish, below.)

IM shares that Madeline was an exceptional mission coordinator who facilitated service opportunities for thousands of volunteers from the United States and Puerto Rico. She helped them grow in their faith while empowering them to make a positive impact in the world. Madeline was also committed to serving the severely impoverished batey communities in the Dominican Republic, which are villages of sugar workers. She spent most of her ministry in these communities, where she brought hope and joy to countless families. The day before her passing, Madeline visited several bateyes, distributing gifts to families to celebrate the joy of Christmas. 

IM gives thanks to God for the life of Madeline, a sister, friend, and colleague. The IM family is encouraged to pray for comfort for her family and friends during this difficult time and to honor the life of this great servant of the Lord. They remember Madeline through the words of Matthew 25:23, “Well done, good and faithful servant! You have been faithful with a few things; I will put you in charge of many things. Come and share your master’s happiness!” 

IM is providing care and support to Madeline’s family, close friends, and associates. More information will be shared as it becomes available.

Ministerios Internacionales lamentan el fallecimiento de la sierva global Rev. Madeline Flores-López

Con gran tristeza Ministerios Internacionales (IM) comparte la noticia del fallecimiento inesperado de la Sierva Global Rev. Madeline Flores-López la madrugada del lunes 18 de diciembre de 2023, luego de una breve enfermedad. La Rev. Flores-López, una sierva global de Puerto Rico desde hace mucho tiempo, estuvo en la República Dominicana, donde sirvió durante veintidós años.

Madeline fue una coordinadora de misión excepcional que facilitó oportunidades de servicio para miles de voluntarios de los Estados Unidos y Puerto Rico. Ella los ayudó a crecer en su fe y al mismo tiempo los empoderó para tener un impacto positivo en el mundo. Madeline también se comprometió a servir a las comunidades de bateyes gravemente empobrecidas en la República Dominicana, que son pueblos de trabajadores azucareros. Pasó la mayor parte de su ministerio en estas comunidades, donde llevó esperanza y alegría a innumerables familias. El día anterior a su fallecimiento, Madeline visitó varios bateyes, repartiendo regalos a las familias para celebrar la alegría de la Navidad.

IM da gracias a Dios por la vida de Madeline, hermana, amiga y colega. Se anima a la familia IM a orar por consuelo para su familia y amistades durante este momento difícil y a honrar la vida de esta gran sierva del Señor. Recordamos a Madeline a través de las palabras de Mateo 25:23: “¡Bien, sierva buena y fiel! En poco has sido fiel; sobre mucho te pondré. ¡Ven y comparte la felicidad de tu señor!”

IM brinda atención y apoyo a la familia, amistades cercanas y compañeros en misión de Madeline. Se compartirá más información a medida que esté disponible.
