New Book reveals Three M Structure for Prophetic Preaching

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 8/3/21)—The Rev. Dr. Reginald Williams, author of “Moving the Masses: Pillars of Prophetic Preaching,” understands and hears the divine calling of prophetic preaching as a connection of what occurs between the internal preacher and the delivery that moves people to take action. The book ties a direct thread from the authenticity of the inner regions of the preacher to a method used to preach prophetically.

Methodically laying out a definition of prophetic preaching, Williams selects a limited number of preaching practitioners whose written works examine prophetic preaching. Williams complements his discussion of prophetic preaching with various methods of delivery, illustrating preaching methods with vivid examples and explanations that bring it to life for the listener, reader and doer of God’s Word.

Revealing the “Three Ms of Prophetic Preaching,” the book is perfect for ministry leaders/practitioners, seminary professors and seminarians, those in formal or informal learning environments and anyone concerned with prophetic preaching. It tells readers how to add power to their preaching and engage people to make a difference through God’s word. The book maintains that prophetic preaching is necessary to empower people to envision an alternative reality that counters the current reality.

Williams is a pastor, professor and perpetual pupil who understands his purpose to facilitate freedom through storytelling. He serves as an Adjunct Professor at McCormick Theological Seminary.
