ABHMS’ Center for Continuous Learning Launches Website

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 6/16/21)—American Baptist Home Mission Societies will launch the website for its Center for Continuous Learning (CCL) at 1 p.m. ET on June 23 in ABHMS’ exhibit space at the virtual Biennial Mission Summit. Meet CCL’s staff, take a virtual tour of the newly launched website with its custom learning platform, and experience a sample workshop, “What Floats Your Boat? Navigating the Deep Waters of Congregational Change and Discernment.” To participate in the CCL launch, register now for Mission Summit.

The center’s physical space—to be dedicated as the Dr. Aidsand F. Wright-Riggins III Learning Center—will formally open its doors in September with a ribbon cutting and full lineup of educational offerings. Watch for details to follow. While the Learning Center was to have been launched before the website, ABHMS pivoted in its plans because of the Coronavirus pandemic.

CCL is a hub for practical mission education, committed to empowering God’s people for today’s real-life challenges. Seeking to equip leaders as disciples, to make disciples into leaders, and to train God’s people to fulfill their ministry passions, CCL features interactive, intercultural and incarnational learning experiences. These learning experiences reflect current trends in leadership training, address society’s need for healing and justice, and create mission education for emerging generations.

“ABHMS’ Center for Continuous Learning will be a central feature in ABHMS’ mission framework for the transfer of knowledge, empowering leaders, equipping disciples and offering resources for transformation and healing,” says ABHMS Executive Director Dr. Jeffrey Haggray.

A constantly evolving educational community, CCL offers new live and on-demand learning experiences monthly, in preparation for the launch of a full calendar of leadership training and discipleship education offerings in 2022.
