American Baptists are invited to attend Faiths4Vaccines’ virtual Faiths4Vaccines National Summit on Wednesday, May 26, 2021 from 1-4pm EDT.
Faiths4Vaccines is an inclusive multifaith movement comprised of local and national religious leaders as well as medical professionals who are working together to identify and resolve current gaps in vaccine mobilization, outreach, and uptake. The initiative seeks to increase opportunities for faith-based institutions to engage and support the advancement of equitable vaccine distribution and address vaccine hesitancy.
Faith leaders, faith communities, and medical professionals are leading efforts to respond to and recover from the unprecedented health crises facing our nation and the world. Now, equipped with a life-saving vaccine, we have the chance to bring COVID-19, and all the suffering it has caused, to an end.
Faiths4Vaccines National Summit is expected to be the largest multi-faith gathering to support equitable and far-reaching vaccine distribution in the United States. Faith leaders and faith-based organizations in attendance will receive training, resources, and empowerment to engage their communities and ensure equitable vaccine access.
The Summit will also serve as a space for open and honest dialogue between faith leaders and county, state, and national health officials to identify opportunities for faith-based institutions to further engage and support the efforts to increase vaccination rates.
