Rev. Andy Quient’s name was brought forward to the Board of Directors by the Succession Team. ”Based on this body of work and meeting the identified traits that were required, the Succession Committee strongly recommends to the Board of Directors that Andy Quient is named the new ABCOFLASH Executive Minister.” The Board voted unanimously to accept the motion and move forward with the call.
ABCOFLASH president, Steve Simons, stated, “In recognition of the diverse nature of our Region, and the complexity of our operations, Rev. Quient was found to be, out of all the candidates, the most uniquely qualified to lead us into the future. We praise God for the vision and foresight to place Andy in our mix.”
Rev. Quient has been pastoring with American Baptist Churches since 1996 and has enjoyed positions in youth ministry, church planting, Pastor of FBC Santa Ana, ABCOFLASH board member and Region Resource Minister. He has served for the last 16 months as the Acting Executive Minister.
Andy left a highly successful career in international sales and management for a life in ministry and hasn’t looked back. He now has a passion for helping churches become stronger.
His philosophy of ministry centers around John 10:10. His sincere desire is to see people live the abundant life that Jesus promised. He graduated summa cum laude from Talbot School of Theology.
