New Executive Director of American Baptist Women’s Ministries Invites Women to ‘Meet’ Her in Upcoming Webinar

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 4/23/18)American Baptist Women’s Ministries is hosting a free one-hour live webinar called ‘Visions for American Baptist Women’s Ministries’, where the new Executive Director will describe her strategy for the future of the organization and invite questions and comments from webinar attendees. This conversational webinar will take place on Thursday, April 26 at 9:00 p.m. Eastern (6:00 p.m. Pacific), registration is free.

Rev. Gina Jacobs-Strain became the Executive Director-Elect on February 1 of this year, transitioning into the full-time Executive Director position on March 1. She is very enthusiastic about the opportunity to be involved in such a welcoming and diverse group of women and girls. She says, “I am filled with awe and expectation as I join a sisterhood of women committed to build the body of Christ…by embracing the gifts and participation of all women and girls throughout the United States and Puerto Rico.”

The leaders of AB Women’s Ministries are excited about the experience Rev. Jacobs-Strain brings to her new role in the organization. After her 18 year career in banking, Rev. Jacobs-Strain worked in teaching and administration in higher education, local church pastoral leadership, and regional ministry work. She is now an ordained American Baptist minister and is a member of St. Paul Baptist Church in Montclair, N.J.
