ABHMS to Hold ‘Specialized Ministry Summit’ in Denver

VALLEY FORGE, PA (3/8/17)—American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS) invites all chaplains, pastoral counselors, campus ministers, spiritual directors and seminarians to its free “Specialized Ministry Summit”—which includes free lunch—11:30 a.m.-2 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, at Calvary Baptist Church, Denver, Colo.

The purpose is for ABHMS to learn how it can support attendees’ ministries and to update attendees regarding American Baptist endorsement as well as regional and national news.

In addition to attendees sharing information about their ministries, updates will be provided by the following individuals:

  • the Rev. Dr. Steven Van Ostran, regional executive minister, American Baptist Churches of the Rocky Mountains;
  • the Rev. Dr. Janet McCormack, assistant professor of Chaplaincy and Pastoral Counseling and director of Chaplaincy and Pastoral Counseling Programs, Denver Seminary; and
  • the Rev. Kristy Moeller, ecclesiastical endorser and ABHMS director of Chaplaincy and Specialized Ministries.

Register for the free lunch by emailing endorsement@abhms.org by April 2. Lunch will be provided only to those who register by April 2.

Endorsed American Baptist chaplains and pastoral counselors will receive a gift for attending.
