Dear American Baptists,
I am asking that this Sunday in your prayers of intercession that you remember the people of West Africa as their medical systems are being overwhelmed by the outbreak of Ebola. Let us remember with thanksgiving medical personnel and others who bravely risk their lives in treating those who have become infected. And let us also pray that international medical aid will come quickly to shore up the medical systems in the affected countries as they seek to control the spread of this disease. Remember as well the families affected by the deaths, the fear, and displacement created by this epidemic.
Yours in Christ,
A. Roy Medley
