VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 4/19/13)—A mistake appeared in yesterday’s press release about American Baptist Home Mission Societies’ “Reconnect, Renew, Re-envision,” a young adult gathering to precede the American Baptist Churches USA (ABCUSA) Mission Summit/Biennial on June 20 and 21, 2013, at Holiday Inn Hotel & Suites, Overland Park/Kansas City, Kan.
The correct email contact for registration information is firstname.lastname@example.org.
The purpose of the gathering is for young adults aged 16-29 to reconnect with each other and the ongoing ministries of American Baptist Home Mission Societies (ABHMS); renew their commitment to acts of discipleship, community and justice in the local church and denomination; and re-envision ABHMS’ ministries for this generation. In addition, they will be welcome to participate in guided Mission Summit experiences.
Highlights will include worship, scheduled social time, a hands-on mission activity and roundtable discussions about the scope and design of ABHMS’ future ministries for youth and young adults.
The $50 fee per participant includes housing for events before and during Mission Summit; Mission Summit registration; and all meals, except the pre-Mission Summit breakfast. Participants are responsible for their own transportation to and from Overland Park/Kansas City. Participants must be at least aged 16 by or on June 1, 2013.
Registration will be limited to the first 100 applicants. Registration deadline is May 26, 2013. For more information, please contact the Rev. Trevor Beauford, ABHMS Youth and Young Adult Ministries, at email@example.com or 610-768-2145. To receive registration information, please contact Loretta Harper at firstname.lastname@example.org or 610-768-2462.
