C2R4: A Spiritual Retreat for Young Adult Women

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 1/31/12)—American Baptist Women’s Ministries announces C2R4: Confidence through Christ—Retreat, Reflect, Renew, Relate, a retreat for women between the ages of 18 and 40. Based on 2 Corinthians 3:4-6, C2R4 gives women the opportunity to experience the righteous confidence that is theirs through Christ. They will explore who they are in the eyes of God, build strong friendships to support them on their journey of faith, and have a time of renewal in beautiful New England in the fall.

C2R4 will be held at the Canonicus Camp and Conference Center in Exeter, Rhode Island, September 28-30, 2012. C2R4 features Rev. Dr. Trinette McCray as Bible study leader, Ms. Hornrette Washington as worship leader, and Alexandra Kuykendall of MOPS International as a guest leader. In addition to inspiring worship and Bible study, there will be opportunities for hands-on mission, a labyrinth, outdoor recreation, tours of the area, and plenty of time to just kick back and have fun.

“C2R4 has something for every young adult woman who is looking to renew herself in Christ while retreating in a relaxing atmosphere and making new friends; no young woman should let this opportunity to pass her by,” says LaKeeyna Cooper, national coordinator of young adult women’s ministries for American Baptist Women’s Ministries.

“I am truly excited that our national calendar of events for 2012 includes a weekend retreat for young women,” says Virginia Holmstrom, executive director of American Baptist Women’s Ministries.

For more information about C2R4, visit www.abwministries.org/events. Online registration will be available in February. Limited scholarships are available; check the website for scholarship application.
