Real Women, Real Leaders: The Podcast Series has explored a wide variety of issues such as spiritual practices, educating women in mission, human trafficking, finances, mentoring, community ministries, and more. Interviews have included such women as Dr. Molly Marshall of Central Baptist Theological Seminary; Lauran Bethell, global consultant for International Ministries; Mylinda Baits, missionary in Costa Rica; author Billie Montgomery Cook; and a case manager working with survivors of human trafficking.
“Hearing gifted American Baptist women speak from their experiences and passion has been a real inspiration to me, personally, and to our podcast listeners,” said Virginia Holmstrom, executive director of American Baptist Women’s Ministries. “New episodes, available every other Monday, offer people an opportunity to pause in their busy routines and reflect on faith issues and God’s activity in the world.”
The podcast series, hosted by Rev. Sandra DeMott Hasenauer, has featured a variety of American Baptist women. Real Women, Real Leaders: The Podcast Series is available through iTunes or by visiting abwm.libsyn.com.
Holmstrom noted that in May, 2009, the AB GIRLS National Leadership Team launched GirlTalk podcasts for girls, available through iTunes or abgirls.libsyn.com. GirlTalk, complete with downloadable discussion questions for girls groups, both models and encourages Christian faith and leadership among girls.
