Wright-Riggins III announced on April 27, 2010, that National Ministries, reclaiming its historic names, will now carry out ministry as American Baptist Home Mission Societies.

Alan Musoke has been named the new associate general secretary of finance/treasurer effective April 16, 2010. During a conference call with the American Baptist Churches USA (ABCUSA) General Board Executive Committee on Wednesday, April 14, Musoke was elected to serve in this role.
A grant of $70,500 has been provided so that 94 Haitian college students can continue their studies this semester after the monster earthquake on January 12 devastated their colleges and universities in the Port au Prince, Haiti area. This tuition assistance was made possible by Haiti relief funds raised by churches and individuals through One Great Hour of Sharing (OGHS).
