Designed to Serve: New Resource for Ministry Available

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 3/1/13)—AB Women’s Ministries launches the two-year program theme “Designed to Serve/Diseñados para servir” in July, 2013, and has produced the first of two volumes supporting the theme.

Volume 1 of “Designed to Serve/Diseñados para servir,” now available, provides materials for 2013-2014, the first year of the two-year program theme cycle. Volume 1 includes 36 pages of Bible studies, devotionals, Women’s Sunday materials, geographic and general mission study theme information, offering dedications and prayers, and a wealth of other articles to help women explore being “Designed to Serve.”

Ephesians 4:12 NRSV—“to equip the saints for the work of ministry, for building up the body of Christ”—will be the guiding Scripture of American Baptist Women’s Ministries for the next two years. The 2013-2015 program theme will give women and girls the opportunity to understand how they have been uniquely shaped by God for the ministry to which they have been called in the world. During the two year program theme cycle, they will explore their spiritual gifts, pray for guidance, and be blessed on their journeys of faith.
