VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 6/4/12)—Tonight (June 4) at 10:00 pm EST, the National Geographic Channel will air a special entitled, 21st Century Sex Slaves. International Ministries missionary, Annie Dieselberg, serving in Thailand will be among those featured on this one-hour program.
The program summary from the National Geographic Channel website is the following:
Sex tourism may be one of Thailand’s most profitable industries. Many of the foreign men who enter the country as tourists come for sex the demand is high, and the market is massive. Servicing this demand are women trafficked from all over the world, including those lured to Thailand by a vicious Thai-Uzbek ring. Most Uzbek women who work in the industry come to Bangkok out of financial desperation; they believe they’ll get good jobs, but they end up as slaves.
