Longtime ABCUSA Employee David D. Eisenhauer Dies

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 4/10/12)—David D. “Ike” Eisenhauer, former manager of Traffic Services for American Baptist Churches USA (ABCUSA), died suddenly of natural causes on April 7, 2012 at home. Eisenhauer worked with ABCUSA from May 16, 1966 through his retirement on December 31, 2011. He was 66.

M. Gary LaNette, director of Traffic Services, said, “Dave was a man of great integrity and was respected for his work ethic and leadership abilities. He worked as the manager of the Traffic Service Department for 46 years, and had many friends in the mission center from his years here. Dave was our colleague, mentor and friend. He will surely be missed.”

Eisenhauer was a member of the Humane Fire Company for many years. He served as Fire Chief from 1981-82, 1989-93. He was also a member of the Friendship Fire Company in Royersford.

Eisenhauer is survived by his mother, Ruth Cottrell of Royersford, three sons, Mark Eisenhauer of Reading, PA, David K., husband of Brittney Y. (Cannady) Eisenhauer of Royersford, and Shayne M. Eisenhauer of Philadelphia, and one granddaughter. He was preceded in death by one sister, Peggy A. Hefelfinger, and his father, Elvin E. Eisenhauer.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his funeral service at the Cattermole-Klotzbach Funeral Home, 600 Washington Street, Royersford, PA 19468 on Thursday, April 12, 2012 at 10:30 AM. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Wednesday evening, April 11 from 6:30-8:30 PM or on Thursday morning from 9:30-10:30 AM. Officiating will be the Rev. Dr. Marvin A. Marsh. Burial will follow in the Limerick Garden of Memories.
