ABF Achieves $100 Million

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 3/14/12)—American Baptist Foundation today announced that the ministry’s assets under management have exceeded $100 million.

Rev. Perkin Simpson, the Foundation’s executive director commented, “Since the stock market collapse in 2008, we have been blessed to realize a fifty-two percent (52%) increase in assets under management — growing from $67.6 million as of December 31, 2008 to $102.6 million as of February 29, 2012.  This milestone is our testimony of how God has prospered our ministry. Our donors and the American Baptist missions and ministries they hold dear to their hearts are our motivation.  During challenging times we have diligently focused our efforts on strengthening existing partnerships and establishing new relationships whilst aiming to fulfill our vision of Connecting People Who Care to Ministries that Matter.”

Since 1985, the mission of the American Baptist Foundation has been to support and strengthen the Christian witness fulfilled by the Foundation’s partners in ministry and mission, which include American Baptist Home Mission Societies, American Baptist International Ministries, and a majority of American Baptist Regions.  The Foundation encourages individuals to support the endeavors of these partners through what is known as “planned giving” — establishing wills, life income gifts, endowments, and other charitable estate plans.

Visit the Foundation’s website, www.abcofgiving.org, to obtain clear and concise information about planned giving or call us at 610-768-2035 to explore options on how you can be a blessing to your local church, region, or other American Baptist missions or ministries.

American Baptist Churches USA is one of the most diverse Christian denominations today, with 5,500 local congregations comprised of 1.3 million members, across the United States and Puerto Rico, all engaged in God’s mission around the world.
