AB Women’s Ministries New Program Resource Available

VALLEY FORGE, PA (ABNS 2/28/12)—American Baptist Women’s Ministries has produced Volume 2 of “In the Potter’s Hands” program resources for local church women’s groups. Providing support for the second year of the two-year program theme, “In the Potter’s Hands,” the second volume of the 2011-2013 Ministry Resource focuses on the sub-theme of “Mending and Sending” for the 2012-2013 program year. Volume 2 includes Bible studies in English and Spanish, devotionals, Women’s Sunday program materials, an AB GIRLS program, offering dedications and prayers, and a wealth of other articles to help women explore the ways in which we need God’s healing touch and how we are consequently sent out into the world to bring healing to others.

With a special emphasis on global issues of healing and hope for women and girls, the resource also includes resources supporting AB Women’s Ministries national mission project, Break the Chains and Stop the Pain, with a focus on violence.

Executive Director Virginia Holmstrom said, “Once again, gifted women from our midst have created a timely resource for church women’s groups that continues a two-year program theme, ‘In the Potter’s Hands,’ and unites women in studying issues relevant to women of faith. This Ministry Resource can sufficiently inspire women to convene a group in their church and have a ready supply of programs for the next year.” She noted that AB Women’s Ministries fosters opportunities for women to worship God, grow spiritually, develop their spiritual gifts, care for one another, and reach out to others.

“In the Potter’s Hands: Mending and Sending” (Item #W4924, $12.00, 28 pages) is available for purchase through the AB Women’s Ministries website store at www.abwministries.org or from Judson customer service, 1-800-4-JUDSON.
